London, United Kingdom

One of Europe’s oldest cities filled with some of the world’s most interesting history, London is a city that has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment, nature, history, culture and cuisine. London is also a great spot for families that have kids as there are many different attractions that are offered for families! Some of these include the Warner Bros Studio Tour, where you can see one of the most famous film series ever created in the world, the Harry Potter series made in the United Kingdom! You can get an in depth look at the history, the characters, and the many production elements involved in making the world-famous films! You can also check out Shrek’s Adventure Live, where you can see some of the favourites of the movies! There are so many amazing things to do as a family in London, from the amazing museums, like the Royal Observatory Greenwich (where the International Date Line meets), the British Museum, one of the world’s most popular history museums, London’s beautiful Roman Amphitheatre, and see some clips from London’s famous films in the London Film Museum (we are thinking James Bond, but there are SO many more!) Obviously, you can’t forget about Buckingham Palace, one of London’s most famous historic sites, and while you are there, visit some of the most popular parks in the city, such as the Hampton Court Palace’s Gardens, the Hyde Park, the Camley Street Natural Park, or one of many cycling routes in London. Other awesome things to do are to check out the London Dungeon, take a trip in the world-famous double-decker bus, the London Zoo, Big Ben, the Crystal Maze LIVE, and so many fun theme parks! Have a delicious meal, at fun restaurants such as Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea, or themed tea spots across the city, where there are plenty of tasty treats, shop at some cool stores, such as the world’s LARGEST candy shop, M&M’s World, the world’s largest LEGO store, and the classic toy store, Hamleys! And make sure to check out the coolest eye.. the London Eye, where you can see the entirety of London! There are so many cool things to see and do in London for all ages, and it is hard to see it all, but all the attractions you will see, will be lots of fun!

Rome, Italy

Similar to London, Rome, Italy’s stunning capital city, is one of Europe’s oldest cities home to one of the most fascinating civilizations (Ancient Rome) and therefore a lot of amazing historical sites. There’s also world class cuisine, famous entertainment, amazing shopping, and of course a lot of fun things to see and do for families travelling to this amazing city! The first stop in the tour of the amazing city of Rome is the Colosseum, where you can explore the many tunnels and areas in the arena in which many shows took place in the history of ancient Rome. However it is important to note that the Colosseum does tend to be a very crowded attraction, as it is one of the most notable and recognizable landmarks in the city. Another cool attraction to see in the city of Rome is the St. Peter’s Dome, and while there is a significant track to get to the top of the dome, you can easily take the lift, if you’re with young kids. If you are interested in getting a lot of steps there is a 550-step staircase to get to the top but the views are truly beautiful. “When in Rome”, make sure to also visit the many, many cafes and restaurants within the city. Rome and Italy in general are known for some of the world’s tastiest and most defined cuisines so it would be a great disappointment to not stop and try some of the delicious local eats as well as getting a scoop of gelato. Romeo’s truly a city where you can experience amazing historical wonders from the Trevi Fountain, where people throw in money in hopes of returning once again to this beautiful city, to the ancient city of Pompeii nearby, there is so much to explore and it would make an amazing trip for family with kids a large family or anyone travelling together to celebrate the beauty of travel with loved ones.
