Holidays Around The World: A Celebration of Winter

Winter is one of the most fun times of the year, and even better, with winter comes the holiday season! Today, countries all over the world celebrate the holidays with marvelous displays of lights, cheer and activities. In this article, explore the three best places to celebrate this holiday season around the world. Like three different worlds, but make it holiday-themed! 

Lapland, Finland

Finland, home to saunas, aurora borealis, and possibly.. Santa Claus, makes it one of the most ideal spots for some holiday fun! Make sure to visit Santa’s park (Rovaniemi), the snow village (Kitalla) and the heart of Lapland, Muonio, Olos & Pallas. Lapland has so much to offer in terms of not only the holiday season, but also the beauty of winter and the magical Earth! And who knows, you might meet a reindeer!

Vienna, Austria

Vienna, as mentioned in a previous article on this blog, is a beautiful city of architecture and culture. The wonderful thing about Vienna is, when the hustle and bustle of the city dies down, the lights shine bright and the holiday markets come alive. You can smell the delicious smells of pastries and hear the sounds of seasonal music. The warmth of the holidays is always here in Vienna!

Quebec City, Canada

Of all the cities in Canada, none celebrate the holidays better than the city of Quebec, in the province of __ Quebec! Quebec City has some of the most beautiful holiday-themed restaurants, cafes, events etc. You won’t be disappointed, wherever you look! Head on over to the Petit Champlain district for cute shops, where the historical architecture juxtaposes the carolers and  desserts. For an experience unlike no other, head on over to this amazing Canadian city for views so phenomenal, you might not believe it exists!
